The Bershire Hills Regional School district has just launched a new integrated "blended learning" environment that integrates Moodle, Google Apps for Education and a clone of the popular "Khan Academy". The new site is now available to all students and teachers in the school district via their Google Apps for Education account. The new environment will be piloted in select classes across K-12 during the 2012-2013 school year. The Berkshire Technology Fund is also supporting the initiative in collaboration with the Berkshire Bank so that all district students are eligable for low-cost loans for purchasing a Tablet computer for accessing the environment in school or in the community. The district now features public Internet access in all school buildings enabling student to bring their own device for use in school. Visit http://bhrsdonline.org/ to see it in action.
