The WWW turned 25 years old on March 10, 2014 and to celebrate the W3 consortium has launched a web site that tells all about the history of this great invention of Sir Tim Berners-Lee. The Web@25 site has some great tidbits of information about Sir Tim's original proposal for the www including the fact that his boss dubbed it "vague but exciting"! It is hard to fathom that what began as a single web page in 1991 is now approaching the 1 Billion mark and will soon connect over 3 Billion people on planet earth.
